Pilates is a unique total body conditioning system developed over 100 years ago by Joseph H. Pilates. Pilates is designed to improve posture, balance, and flexibility by developing a strong core. Pilates is also designed to take stress off the vertebrae in the lower back and all joints.
Pilates is good for anyone who desires improved physical conditioning or enhanced athletic skills, but it's especially designed for even those with limitations or unexplained backaches or joint pain. Pilates is taught and performed in levels, so you will learn level I completely before moving to level II, etc.
