Pete Bakis
General Manager & CEO
Pete Bakis was 9 years old when he came to the United States from Rhodes, Greece to live with his aunt and uncle to pursue his education. He received his AS in Science from Yuba College and his BS from U.C. Davis in Biochemistry. He has over 30 years experience in all aspects of the health and fitness industry and has been with the Yuba City Racquet club since 1984. Pete enjoys golf, tennis, computers and gardening in his spare time.
Abbey Anderson
Membership Director​

Abbey was born and raised in the Yuba-Sutter area before moving to Orange County to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree. Three and a half years later she graduated with a Bachelors in Business Administration and a minor in Sociology. She moved back to the area to be close to her family working in events, social media, and tourism along the way before settling with us in 2023. Abbey loves books, the beach, and anything Disney related.
Neil Archer
Tennis Director​

Neil's back! Many of you will remember Neil from his time at the Racquet Club in the late 1990's. Neil has 30 years of tennis instruction experience, including 24 years as a USPTA Certified Elite Professional. He is Past President of the USPTA Nor Cal Division, and was named 2004 Pro of the Year. He has also served as a High School and College Tennis Coach.

Terry Townsend
Maintenance Director​
Terry Townsend is our Maintenance Director here at the Yuba City Racquet Club, having been with us since October 1st of 2001. Terry has very quickly become an invaluable asset to the staff as we see him spear heading many projects that have been troublesome in the past and working with them till they are truly taken care of. He attends classes as he can to supplement his knowledge of things like chemicals and electrical. Terry has lived in our area for the last ten years, but hails to us from the Redwood City, California area where he was born. After graduating high school, Terry attended DeAnza College in Cupertino (AS), and then San Jose State University majoring in Business, Sales and Marketing. Terry has a fabulous wife Tarey and two daughters Ashley and Marissa, who enjoy accompanying Terry camping, hiking, fishing, riding horses, raising birds, playing tennis and landscaping.​
Angela Tinoco
Kids Programming Director​
Angela is our Kids Time Executive Director for our Preschool and School-age Programs. She was raised in Vacaville Ca, about an hour and fifteen minutes from Yuba City, on 2 acres which had horses, a pony, cows, a bull, chickens and a sheep. She enjoyed horseback riding and taking care of the animals. She has been married to her husband for 23 years and has five wonderful children. She loves going on family vacations and going to the beach. She adores working with children and has worked with children for about 20 years and has worked for Kidz Time for 7 years.
Angela has a Child Development Associate Certification, and a Director Certification for Early Childhood Education Preschool.
