Personal Trainers


Beth McLean-Tortosa, Fitness Director
beth@ycrc.com

Beth has been a Racquet Club employee since 1990 and has enjoyed watching all the changes in fitness that has happened over the years. She is currently the fitness director and handles most of the fitness related programs and trainers. Beth is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, American Council on Exercise, Medical Exercise Specialist, and the Les Mills programs including Body Flow and Body Pump. Beth and her husband, Rich, have 7 children between them and when not working they are enjoying time together or with family.
 




Julie Krueger

Julie is currently certified through ACE (American Council on Exercise) for personal training and group exercise. She is also certified in Pilates and teaches yoga. Julie specializes in training the ‘senior’ population, and women of all ages. Her certification as a Medical Exercise Specialist also enables her to work with the post-rehab client (hip and knee replacements, back, shoulder and neck injuries). When not working, Julie enjoys watching her children in their many activities.

 



Cyndie Bock

Cyndie has been a long-time employee since 1984. She is certified through AFAA for her personal training certification and Schwinn for indoor cycling. Also, Cyndie has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and holds a credential in School Nursing. Cyndie enjoys training the client who is new to exercise. When not working, Cyndie enjoys her four daughters and their many activities.



Jessica Loeblein

Jessica is a recent transplant from the Tacoma, Wa. area. She is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). As a trainer she enjoys working with the de-conditioned new exerciser and especially loves the senior population. When not working she enjoys being with her family and loves to be outdoors.

 



Leti Loeblein

Leti Loeblein: Leti has been happily married to Marty for 27 years and has 2 sons and 1 grand-daughter. Leti is certified through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and is currently studying for the NASM exam. She has a passion for training women to reach their full physical potential at any age and is constantly researching exercise and nutrition for the pre/post menopausal woman. It is no wonder Leti was voted Yuba-Sutter’s TRAINER OF THE YEAR award!

 



Clemente Polines

Clemente Polines: Clemente is a certified personal trainer and motivator for people of all ages to help them lose weight, improve their health, and achieve their target level of fitness. Clem was a unit fitness program manager and physical training leader while serving in the US Air Force. During this time he developed weight loss and fitness improvement programs. Clem has a B.S. in Psychology and Athletic Training. He has also obtained a black belt in Japanese and Korean martial arts and is currently studying Filipino martial arts. Clemente’s passion is in helping people improve their lives both physically and mentally through intelligent, high energy, and FUN training!!

His motto is: “if your mind can conceive it,
and you truly believe it,
your body will achieve it!!”



Sarah Martinez

Sarah is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She has the ability to work with clients of all fitness levels. Sarah is the coordinator of the popular “Ladies of Steel” program. She feels that every woman who is new to YCRC should give this program a try. The ladies make friends and learn to use most all of the equipment in the facility, plus it’s a great workout. Sarah is also a group exercise instructor of the fun workout called Body Vive. She also enjoys being a certified Pilates coach. In her free time Sarah is busy with her 3 young children and husband.



Elias Mendoza

Elias has lived in the Yuba-Sutter area for most of his life. He lives here now with his wife and 2 children. Elias has recently completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Management and is now pursuing his Masters in Business Administration. As a personal trainer he has a special edge in that he has competitively played baseball for many years. Elias knows what it takes to get ready for the season and remain competitive until the final game of the season. When not working, in school, or working out Elias enjoys spending time with his family and friends. 

 



Mindy DuPont

In the spring of 2009, Mindy joined us from Raleigh, NC.  She has a BS degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in fitness and sport management.  Her personal training certification is from the American Council on Exercise.  Mindy has been doing personal training since 2005.  She has trained a variety of clients that range the spectrum of weight loss, muscle building, and special populations.  Because Mindy has a background in martial arts, she also enjoys incorporating punches and kicks into her exercise programs.

Mindy’s main hobby is martial arts.  She has been training in karate for 18 years.   Before moving to CA, Mindy actively taught at a karate school as the head instructor of children’s classes.  In addition to this, she has also taught karate and self defense courses at two women’s colleges in Raleigh, NC.  Mindy hold a 5th degree black belt in Karate, a first degree black belt in jujitsu, and a second degree brown belt in judo.  Mindy is excited at the opportunity of sharing her martial arts with the members at the club. 



Lisa Browning

Lisa Browning joins us from Salt Lake City, UT. Lisa is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and has more than three years of personal training experience. Lisa’s clients will benefit from her focus on resistance training, cardio and nutrition to create a complete approach to wellness. While Lisa works primarily with individuals, she also develops motivating training techniques for couples or small groups who enjoy working out together. Look for up and coming programs, including an intense boot camp program called H.I.T. (High Intensity Training). When not working, Lisa enjoys reading, running, spending time outdoors, and spending time with her family at the club. 



Dan Duran

Dan spent twenty two years working for the state of California. The majority of his career was in law enforcement with an emphasis on training. Before his retirement last year he managed all training for his department including acting as the director for a law enforcement academy. He has trained individuals in both resistance training and nutrition for almost 15 years and holds certifications as a Law Enforcement Physical Fitness Instructor, and as a personal trainer with The National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Dan says “my two passions are teaching health and wellness and self defense. I am honored to have the opportunity to share that passion here at YCRC. Fitness is composed of nutrition, resistance training and cardiovascular training. If you are lacking in any one area, you will always struggle to meet your fitness goals.
