care, with one-on-one sessions. Each session is tailored to each
individual’s needs. Each individual is provided with a personal goal
oriented plan. Our location provides us with a full gym offering
many resources including state of the art exercise equipment and
temperature controlled pool. Your aquatic therapy will ensure
your comfort, as you work towards your goals. |

Torben Ulrich,
PT, DPT, FAAOMPTipts@ycrc.com Torben is a native of California. He has spent much of his fifteen-year physical therapy career specializing in orthopedic sports medicine. He is a 1990 graduate of Fresno State University with a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology. He began his career in work hardening as the supervisor of an outpatient clinic in Sacramento, California. He then earned associates degree at Loma Linda University in the physical therapy assistant program and worked in occupational medicine in the greater Los Angeles area prior to traveling to Amsterdam in the Netherlands in 1995, an area of the world renowned for its research and practice in the field of orthopedic manual physical therapy. In 1997, he returned to the United States as a licensed physical therapist where he was the director in a busy outpatient orthopedic and sports therapy center in Florida. While in Florida he served on the medical team for the Walt Disney World Marathon, College Golf Match Play Championship, and the Hubbard Street Dance Corporation. He continued his pursuit of clinical excellence through his work with the Ola Grimsby Institute completing a two-year residency program specializing in orthopedic manual therapy of the spine and extremities leading to a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree, and conducting such research projects as comparing the effects of two different types of therapeutic exercise on rotator cuff impingement syndrome. In 2006 he returned
to the Ola Grimsby Institute to complete a second residency, Doctor of
Manual Therapy and becoming one of 500 PT to become a Fellow within the
American Academy of orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. |

Ashley
Christensen, DPTAshley is a recent graduate from Loma Linda University and is returning to her hometown of Yuba City. Ashley spent her years away from Yuba City studying and earning her Bachelors Degree in Health Science from Sacramento State University and Loma Linda University, where she graduated Suma Cum Laude with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. While enrolled in the graduate program, Ashley was an active class leader who was named as a representative to the American Physical Therapy Association. Ashley also received the Physical Therapy Achievement Award from Loma Linda University. She is passionate about orthopedic physical therapy with the ultimate goal of improving her patient’s pain and quality of life. Ashley plans to further her pursuit of professional excellence by progressing with the latest in scientific based physical therapy. |
