Torben Ulrich ipts@ycrc.com Torben is a native of California. He has spent much of his eight-year physical therapy career specializing in orthopedic sports medicine. He is a 1990 graduate of Fresno State University with a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology. He began his career in work hardening as the supervisor of an outpatient clinic in Sacramento, California. He then earned associates degree at Loma Linda University in the physical therapy assistant program and worked in occupational medicine in the greater Los Angeles area prior to traveling to Amsterdam in the Netherlands in 1995, an area of the world renowned for its research and practice in the field of orthopedic manual physical therapy. In 1997, he returned to the United States as a licensed physical therapist where he was the director in a busy outpatient orthopedic and sports therapy center in Florida. While in Florida he served on the medical team for the Walt Disney World Marathon, College Golf Match Play Championship, and the Hubbard Street Dance Corporation. He continued his pursuit of clinical excellence through his work with the Ola Grimsby Institute completing a two-year residency program specializing in orthopedic manual therapy of the spine and extremities leading to a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree, and conducting such research projects as comparing the effects of two different types of therapeutic exercise on rotator cuff impingement syndrome. In 2006, Torben
returned to the Ola Grimsby Institute to complete a second Doctorate in
"Manual Therapy" with a one year course emphasizing advanced manual
techniques of the spine and extremities. |

Tricia
Malonetricia@ycrc.com Originally from Indiana, Tricia moved to Alamogordo, New Mexico in 2004 to begin her career in physical therapy. While in New Mexico she worked in a busy outpatient clinic treating a wide variety of patient conditions and managing an aquatic therapy program. She also had the opportunity to supervise a physical therapy team for impatient rehabilitation at the local hospital. Tricia is a graduate of Saint Louis University with a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science and a Masters degree in physical therapy. Her clinical training while in school includes positions at inpatient hospitals in Indiana and Nebraska, outpatient rehabilitation in New Mexico and Virginia, as well as international training at a neurological rehab facility in Sweden. Tricia has a special interest in aquatic therapy, which includes training in Bad Ragaz, and enjoys working with the community on wellness and prevention. |
